Social Environment

Living at Residence Mont Assomption provides countless opportunities for new friendships to be created or for old friends to get together. There are many occasions each day where our residents spend quality time with each other – either  enjoying a good meal, participating in an social activity, or simply relaxing in each other’s company.

Our home boasts three generous lounges and a large activities room for use by our residents and their guests. And during the warmer months, residents can spend time on our outdoor patio or tending to our raised flower and vegetable garden. Because our building is located on several acres of private land next to the St. John river, there is ample room for long walks and enjoying the wonderful scenery.

To foster a social environment, we have regularly scheduled bingo games, birthday celebrations, parties on special occasions, and visitations by special guests, such as our Christmas violinists and our Halloween ghouls and goblins.

Residence Mont Assomption also recognizes how important spirituality is in the lives of many of our residents. That’s why we maintain a chapel right within our building. Regular services are offered each week and special services can be provided upon request.

And when our residents want to look their best, they need only visit our in-house hair salon, where our stylist can provide men and women with everything from simple cuts to perms and colours.
